Final Project Questionnaire

Doxa Website Reconstruction

Who is the Target Audience?

The target audience for Doxa's website will be townships, cities, and municipalities who require water and wastewater infrastructure in the form of new construction or existing infrastructure upgrades.

How can I tailor the website to reach that audience?

Municipalities rarely seek out contractors organically; instead, they tend to use contractor websites as a place to view their portfolio after a bid is conducted, to spot check their work experience and ensure they're capable of completing the work before awarding them a job.

What are the goals for the site?

With the concerns of the previous question in mind, the website needs to exist less as a method of advertisement and more as a professional, business-minded portfolio that exhibit's that company's professionalism and industry experience.

How will I gather the information?

Doxa's website already exists as a basic Wordpress site. Though the stylistic choices of that site won't be replicated in this project, the portfolio projects on the website do exist and will be used. Additionally, I'll be using the text from the iteration of this website I made last semester, though once again, I'll stylistically be starting from scratch.

What are my sources for multimedia content?

Multimedia already exists in the form of pictures I've taken myself, or from photos taken by laborers in the field. I also have drone footage from our jobs that I'll be using.

How long do I have to complete the project?

The Wordpress page works fine as a stand-in, so time isn't a pressing issue, but it will preferably need to be finished within the next two to three months, especially after I have the baseline version for this class finished.

Who is on my project team?

This will be a solo project, though I will be receiving direct input for stylistic choices from Doxa's leadership.

How often should the site be updated?

The website should be updated whenever jobs are added or completed, or whenever images are added. This will ideally be done through some sort of content management system. At the moment I'm thinking of using Decap CMS, which seems to be a good option for static sites.

Who is responsible for updating the site?

I will be working on retainer following my departure from the company to continue working on IT and web operations while pursuing my full-time career elsewhere. I will personally be updating the site, which means that I won't be focusing much on a frontend for the CMS beyond what Decap provides natively.
